STYLEM TAKISADA-OSAKA CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Naniwa-ku, Osaka; President: Ryuta Taki) has entered into a joint promotion agreement for textiles using the water repellent "UNIDYNE" developed by Daikin Industries, Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Masanori Togawa; hereinafter referred to as "Daikin Industries"), and will begin selling original water-repellent materials for the sustainable market.

[What is the "UNIDYNE" non-fluorine water repellent series?] *UNIDYNE is a trademark of Daikin Industries, Ltd.
This is a non-fluorine water repellent for a wide range of textiles, developed for markets that place a greater emphasis on sustainability, with over 50% of its ingredients derived from natural sources. It maintains high water repellency even after washing, without compromising the breathability or texture of the fabric. Drawing on Daikin Industries' more than 50 years of experience in water and oil repellents and its high market share, it offers excellent performance in the non-fluorine water repellent market.
For water-repellent materials using UNIDYNE, Daikin Industries and Stylem Takisada-Osaka will collaborate to trace the process from the water repellent raw material to the processed material. Stylem Takisada-Osaka will then be able to use the "UNIDYNE" tag on products it sells. Furthermore, by utilizing the overseas bases of both companies, materials produced in various countries can also be managed under the same system.
Stylem Takisada-Osaka will collaborate with Daikin Industries to develop products ranging from various woven fabrics, jerseys, and lifestyle materials both domestically and internationally, using water repellents for the sustainability market, to meet diverse lifestyle scenarios and consumer needs. This will allow us to propose new materials not only for the traditional apparel sector but also for new fields.
