■ Background to the Publication of Voice #02

In January 2026, ACTUS began offering towels made with Cotton in Conversion from ORGANIC FIELD. During the transition to organic farming, cotton farmers face significant financial burdens due to reduced yields and difficulties selling their cotton at fair prices. STYLEM supports farmers in transitioning to organic farming by purchasing the entire volume of Cotton in Conversion harvested during this period. ACTUS, in turn, serves as the retail outlet, delivering quality products made from these materials to consumers. Through these complementary roles, the two companies have been working together to build a sustainable supply chain.
Voice #02 goes beyond the story behind the product development, exploring what both participants witnessed in India and their perspectives on the true meaning of sustainability.

STYLEM will continue to expand sustainable product development and create new value through co-creation with other companies, including initiatives such as ORGANIC FIELD. As a creative partner, STYLEM remains committed to understanding and supporting the visions and challenges of its partner companies.

■ What is "ORGANIC FIELD"?

An initiative aiming to support Indian farmers in their transition to organic farming, reducing environmental impact and improving working conditions. This initiative began in 2020, spurred by a fraudulent organic cotton incident in India, out of a sense of corporate responsibility as a cotton handler and the desire to "consistently deliver reliable organic cotton." By purchasing cotton during the transitional period, known as "Cotton in Conversion," the initiative encourages farmers to adopt organic practices and aims to promote their widespread adoption. The harvested cotton ensures traceability through organic process management from seed selection to cotton cultivation and yarn production.
