Our company understands the spirit of the "Corporate Conduct Guidelines for the Textile Industry" created by the Japan Textile Federation. In accordance with these guidelines, and with the cooperation of our direct and indirect business partners in the supply chain of our products, we declare that we will implement the following actions to respect the human rights of all workers involved in the manufacture of our products, including foreign technical interns.
1. Commitment and Stakeholder Engagement
Recognizing that companies have a responsibility to respect human rights, we will formulate and publicly declare a top-management policy (commitment) on human rights respect and integrate it into our management system.
Furthermore, based on this commitment, we will foster an internal foundation to fulfill our responsibility to respect human rights by promoting engagement with our employees. We will also promote engagement with our direct and indirect business partners who are part of our product supply chain to encourage them to undertake similar initiatives.
2. Human Rights Risk Assessment Using Checklists
We will utilize the separate volume of the guidelines, "Examples of Checklist Items and Countermeasures for Risk Detection," to assess human rights risks within our company and among our direct and indirect business partners in our product supply chain.
3. Actions to Prevent and Mitigate Risks
If the human rights risk assessment reveals issues that need to be addressed, we will prioritize them according to the severity of the human rights risk and take necessary actions to prevent and mitigate the highest priority risks.
4. PDCA
We will continuously monitor the effectiveness of actions taken to prevent and mitigate human rights risks. If new human rights risks are identified through monitoring, we will take necessary countermeasures to prevent and mitigate them.
5. Disclosure of Information
Our human rights initiatives will be published on our website below.
