The Value of Manufacturing Begins with Raw Materials
Challenges surrounding raw materials grow more complex each year, driven by climate change, resource constraints, and the shifting environments facing producers. Today, value is determined not only by the quality of raw materials and yarns themselves, but also by the transparency regarding where, by whom, and how they are produced. We regularly visit production regions, farms, and spinning companies around the world to gain a deep understanding of the background and processes behind raw materials. Furthermore, by embracing the regional characteristics, climate, and the wisdom of producers in regions such as India, South Africa, and Australia, we advance raw material development that fully leverages the unique characteristics of each region.

Inheriting and Advancing Technical Expertise
In recent years, the Hokuriku region—one of Japan’s leading centers for synthetic fiber production—has faced declining production volumes and longer lead times due to an aging workforce and a shortage of successors. In particular, yarn preparation and twisting processes have become critical bottlenecks.
To address these challenges, we established a joint venture, “WS,” in 2024 with SHIMOMURA Co., Ltd, a company with extensive expertise in yarn processing and twisting. By introducing new equipment, we are producing high-value-added yarns.
In 2026, we also entered into a strategic partnership with ASANO NENSHI Co.,LTD., a company recognized for its patented technologies and ongoing contribution to the revitalization of Futaba Town in Fukushima Prefecture, to jointly develop innovative yarns.

Passing Down Tradition While Driving Innovation in Weaving and Knitting
The Bishu region—one of Japan’s most renowned textile production areas—has long been known for fabrics woven on traditional shuttle looms that create distinctive textures and character. However, an aging generation of craftspeople and a shortage of successors have raised concerns about the future of these valuable skills and facilities.
In response, we established a joint venture, “Canale Japan,” in 2025 with Kozuka Keori Co., Ltd., a company dedicated to expanding shuttle loom capacity and fostering the next generation of textile artisans. Through this partnership, we are passing down technical expertise while building a sustainable production framework.
We have also maintained a long-standing partnership with YAMAYO TEXTILE CO., LTD., a specialist in circular-knit fabrics. Integrating their advanced equipment and exceptional technical capabilities, they continue to push the boundaries of textile development, creating entirely new fabrics. Deeply aligning with their craftsmanship, we leverage their specialized expertise to create a distinct range of “signature” products.

Tradition X Innovation, Expanding the Possibilities of Dyeing and Finishing
Dyeing and finishing play a critical role in determining the texture, appearance, and comfort of a fabric. However, as the industry shifts toward greater efficiency and mass production, sustaining and passing down this intricate, highly specialized processing expertise has become increasingly challenging.
Founded in 1887, DAICHO CO., LTD. processes fabrics using techniques derived from the traditional craftsmanship of Omi-jofu. The company established “Ohmi Zarashi,” an artisanal finishing process that creates a natural, textured surface and a soft hand feel. Meanwhile, Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd., a leading chemical material manufacturer in the Hokuriku region, has established “SY Processing®,”—a proprietary dyeing and finishing technology that infuses synthetic fibers with a remarkably natural, relaxed texture reminiscent of natural fibers.
At STYLEM, we incorporate this innovative processing expertise into our product development to create fabrics with highly distinctive textures and expressions.

Italy
Inspired by Italian Creativity
Italy stands as one of the world’s most important producers of high-value-added textiles, continuously leading the industry in design excellence and occupying a special position within STYLEM’s global supply chain.
In 2013, we established a local subsidiary in the Prato district to initiate local production activities. In 2022, we entered into a capital and business alliance with Giolica, a textile manufacturer specializing in high-design fancy fabrics. Inspired by Italian creativity and technical expertise, we remain deeply embedded in the supply chain and engage in product development.
India
Incorporating Regional Traditions and Craftsmanship
India is one of the world’s leading cotton-producing countries, with textile traditions deeply rooted in the culture and history of each region, remaining an integral part of people’s daily lives. Since establishing our local subsidiary in New Delhi in 2012, we have focused not only on developing high-quality cotton fabrics that leverage India’s strengths, but also on promoting organic cotton farming initiatives and supporting regionally distinctive craftsmanship. From hand-block prints and shuttle-woven Madras checks to hand-spun and hand-woven Khadi, we successfully produce these traditionally hard-to-manage products on a commercial scale, through our distinctive know-how and network.
China
Combining Global Technology and Creativity
China offers vast production capacity and product variations within the textile industry. Since establishing our Shanghai subsidiary in 2009, we have worked closely with local supply chains to develop a broad range of textile products. Since beginning our partnership with WUJIANG DAHE TEXTILE CO., LTD. (DH) in 2017, we have developed collections that combine Italian design, advanced Chinese manufacturing technology, and Japanese quality. Furthermore, looking ahead to the establishment of the joint venture in 2026, we will develop innovative products designed for future market trends, driven by our strength in original yarn processing that incorporates Japan’s traditional technique and know-how.
Indonesia
Leading Manufacturing in ASEAN
Indonesia is one of Southeast Asia’s leading textile-producing countries, offering a fully integrated manufacturing infrastructure that spans spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing and finishing, and garment production. In 2021, we established a local subsidiary in Bandung, a major textile manufacturing hub, and have since built strong partnerships with leading factories while becoming deeply involved in local supply chains. By combining Indonesia’s manufacturing capabilities with Japanese expertise, we develop products across a wide range of categories, including fashion, sportswear, and uniforms, achieving high standards in cost, quality, and supply stability.
South Korea
Inspired by Korean Fashion
As a hub of “Korean fashion”, which leads Asia’s fashion trends, South Korea is known for its highly sensitive approach to product development. Since establishing our Seoul subsidiary in 2016, we have continued to develop original products by staying ahead of emerging trends. In Daegu, one of Korea’s major textiles regions, we collaborate with global synthetic fiber manufacturers to develop new yarns and blended fabrics. At the same time, we have strengthened supply chain management by establishing a rigorous quality control framework, including our own fabric inspection system.

We have built an infrastructure that maintains an extensive stock of highly diverse fabrics, ensuring a rapid delivery system that responds to orders from a minimum of just one meter. In response to the fast-moving fashion market and the growing demand for shorter lead times, we operate a membership-based online platform, “STYLEM FABRIC STORE,” serving customers in Japan and North America, enabling one-stop access to fabric information, inventory status, delivery schedules, quality data, and ordering. Through these integrated capabilities, we ensure a speedy and highly reliable supply of textiles to customers worldwide.

Leveraging meticulous Japanese techniques that pay careful attention to the finest details, we develop uniquely crafted textiles tailored specifically for luxury fashion houses and high-end brands in Europe and the United States. We exhibit at major international textile trade fairs, such as PREMIÈRE VISION and MILANO UNICA, where our distinctive Japanese techniques and craftsmanship are highly acclaimed. At PREMIÈRE VISION PARIS held in 2018, the collection won the “Imagination Prize” at the 10th PV AWARDS.

m.o.v.e. is a next-generation textile collection that seamlessly fuses sports and fashion, built on the four core pillars of “Mode, Originality, Variety, and Ecology.”
To achieve both the comfort required for sports and fashionability, we focus on every detail across raw material selection, fabric structure, and processing methods, pursuing both functionality and originality. We develop a diverse range of fabrics by leveraging our domestic and international production networks, adopting recycled materials, and creating fabrics from the yarn stage. Sustainable Textiles from China
COE is our original textile collection designed to reduce “three losses” through production and stockholding in China.
The “three losses” refer to reducing transportation costs, saving time in sewing processes in China (shortening lead times for processing relocation), and minimizing deadstock waste through timely procurement of the right volume. By minimizing these losses, we achieve efficient production and short delivery times, fostering a sustainable supply chain. In addition to on-trend items and intricate, unique fabrics not typically found in the local Chinese market, we also focus on developing fabrics made from recycled materials. COE has received high acclaim from both women's and men's fashion brands, not only in Japan but also across China and global markets.

TAKITEX® is our original textile collection featuring Japan’s advanced processing techniques, specifically specialized for “Thobe”—the traditional men’s robe worn primarily in Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
While providing the exceptional breathability and moisture absorption necessary to withstand the region’s harsh climate, the collection focuses deeply on the fabric’s firmness and drape, achieving a unique texture that ensures a refined silhouette and wearing comfort. Canale is a textile collection that appeals to the senses, created by master craftsmen who have customized one of the few remaining Schönherr looms in the world and skillfully operate it with their unique expertise.
From selecting the yarn to weaving and finishing, every step of the process is carried out with meticulous attention to detail. The uniqueness of the Schönherr loom, which allows for slow weaving, imbues a nuanced texture and depth of character. The Schönherr loom, a power loom known to produce fabric remarkably similar to hand weaving, delicately expresses the artistic intentions and sensibilities of the craftsman. Finished products offer a depth and warmth that simply cannot be produced by modern looms. Canale is committed to the process of creating value-added products that appeal to more than just the five senses, but also to a “sixth sense.” We constantly pursue the creation of new value by incorporating modern design elements. One of our most important missions is to pass on this special Schönherr loom to future generations and to train the craftsmen who will carry on this weaving technique.
