STYLEM TAKISADA-OSAKA CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Naniwa-ku, Osaka; President: Ryuta Taki; hereinafter "Stylem") has been providing various Stylem fabrics for the graduation collections of students at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (hereinafter "PolyU") since 2020 through Stylem's local Hong Kong subsidiary (hereinafter "Stylem Hong Kong") as part of its ongoing engagement with local communities. Stylem is also sharing its initiatives in 3D modeling and digital fabric and exchanging ideas, and has begun efforts to expand this initiative not only in Japan but also overseas.

As part of its ongoing engagement with local communities in the fashion industry, Stylem is working with PolyU through Stylem Hong Kong on the following initiatives.
■Collaboration between Stylem Hong Kong and PolyU
・Since 2020, students have been using Stylem fabrics for their creations at PolyU's annual graduation collection, "GRADUATE FASHION SHOW." PolyU students are invited to Stylem Hong Kong's showroom to view Stylem's various fabrics from around the world and utilize them for their collection creations. At the "GRADUATE FASHION SHOW" held in August 2021, six students used Stylem fabrics.
・In December 2021, PolyU professors and students visited Stylem Hong Kong, initiating preparations for the 2022 graduation collection. During the visit, Stylem's initiatives in 3D modeling and digital fabric were shared, and discussions have begun.

■Comment from Kazuya Fujimoto, President / CEO of Stylem Hong Kong
I hope that by actually seeing and touching Stylem's various fabrics, students will find inspiration for their collections. While there are many companies selling various fabrics in Hong Kong, I believe that experiencing Stylem's wide variety of fabrics, planned based on trend information and produced around the world, from their student days will be stimulating for the students. We will assist students so that they can fully express their creative potential without being restricted in the fabric selection stage. Furthermore, we aim to expand this initiative into one where we can grow together, fostering ongoing relationships, for example, by having students utilize our company as a creative space even after graduation.
In the future, we also plan to introduce digital fabric to students in PolyU's 3D modeling classes and facilitate discussions about the future of the fashion business.
Stylem aims to continue expanding its collaborations with schools and students who aspire to work in the fashion industry. Additionally, Stylem will advance efforts to expand its 3D modeling and digital fabric initiatives not only domestically but also internationally.
