Sponsor a high school fashion contest in South Korea

STYLEM TAKISADA-OSAKA CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Naniwa-ku, Osaka; Representative Director and President: Ryuta Taki; hereinafter "Stylem")'s local subsidiary in South Korea (hereinafter "Stylem Korea") became the first Japanese company to sponsor the "7th High School Fashion Contest WITH LIE SANGBONG," held from May to September 2022, as part of its ongoing engagement with the local community, providing fabrics to high school students who passed the preliminary rounds.


Stylem Korea, Stylem's local subsidiary in South Korea, became the first Japanese company to sponsor the "7th High School Fashion Contest" held in South Korea from May to September 2022, providing fabrics to high school students who passed the preliminary rounds. In addition, Stylem Korea plans to offer a short-term training program in Japan to the two high school students who won the "Grand Prize" and the "Stylem Award" in this contest.

■ About the "7th High School Fashion Contest WITH LIE SANGBONG"

This fashion contest targets high school students aspiring to become designers, aiming to nurture talent for the global expansion of K-FASHION. It was designed as an opportunity for high school students to pursue their dreams of becoming designers, with the belief that their creative challenges will create a new Korean Wave in K-FASHION.
・Period: Applications opened in May 2022, with only preliminary qualifiers participating in the main competition.
The awards ceremony was held on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
・Organizers: Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and LIE SANGBONG (fashion designer)

Stylem, through Stylem Korea, intends to continue supporting the challenges of high school students who form the foundation of the K-FASHION Korean Wave, and will engage in social contribution activities within Korea. Furthermore, we will foster relationships that allow for mutual growth through such support. In addition, through this contest, we have received inquiries from fashion-related universities and vocational schools regarding new initiatives, and we hope to contribute to the development of the Korean fashion industry in various ways in the future.
