(Headquarters: Hakui-gun, Ishikawa Prefecture; hereinafter, "WS"), with Shimomura Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture; President: Naruyuki Nishiyama; hereinafter, "Shimomura") in November 2024.
■ Background and Purpose of Establishment
In recent years, the Hokuriku region, one of Japan's leading synthetic fiber production areas, has experienced a decrease in production volume and longer lead times due to an aging workforce and a lack of successors among producers. The pre-spinning and twisting processes have been particular bottlenecks.
To ensure a stable supply of differentiated fabrics using twisted yarns for fashion apparel, STYLEM has established a joint venture with Shimomura, a company with deep expertise in yarn processing and twisting.
Through this joint venture, we will collaborate with Shimomura to promote technological transfer and human resource development in the Hokuriku region. By deepening our manufacturing expertise, we will continue to develop a variety of high-value-added products.
