The "PLUS∞GREEN PROJECT" of STYLEM TAKISADA-OSAKA CO., LTD. (Head office: Naniwa-ku, Osaka; Representative Director and President: Ryuta Taki; hereinafter "Stylem") has launched a new initiative to reduce waste from curtain fabrics while increasing greenery in offices and other spaces, utilizing "TUTTI," a recycled polyester fiber growing medium, in collaboration with Sangetsu Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture; Representative Director, President, and Executive Officer: Yasumasa Kondo; hereinafter "Sangetsu").
The PLUS∞GREEN PROJECT has been promoting various initiatives using "TUTTI," a soil created from recycled polyester fibers. This time, Sangetsu empathized with the project, and TUTTI was adopted for the planting area of "PARCs Sangetsu Group Creative Hub" (hereinafter "PARCs"), a new value creation hub that opened on Monday, March 4. The TUTTI adopted at PARCs uses approximately 20% of polyester curtain fabric, which would otherwise be discarded, as raw material, collected through the "Sangetsu Curtain Eco Project*." This is the first time TUTTI has been manufactured using curtain fabric, and it is an attempt with upcycling potential to utilize waste materials and regenerate them into new valuable products. Stylem will expand its initiatives with Sangetsu through the PLUS∞GREEN PROJECT.
