STYLEM TAKISADA-OSAKA CO., LTD. (Head office: Naniwa-ku, Osaka; President: Ryuta Taki; hereinafter referred to as "Stylem")'s "PLUS∞GREEN PROJECT" collaborated with Fauchon Hotel Kyoto (Location: Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto; General Manager: Nobuhisa Sugimura), the first gourmet hotel in Japan by the Parisian gourmet brand Fauchon, to provide "TUTTI," a recycled polyester fiber growing medium, for their herb tea pairing lunch event.
The event, held on Tuesday, March 26th at Fauchon Hotel Kyoto, featured herbs cultivated at Iiri Farm (Location: Moriyama City, Shiga Prefecture), with dishes and teas made from freshly picked herbs. TUTTI was used as the growing medium for these herbs, and the chefs at Fauchon Hotel Kyoto highly praised TUTTI not only for its use of recycled polyester fibers that would otherwise be discarded as a growing medium, but also for being more hygienic than real soil when displaying fresh herbs in the dining area. This is the first food-related event to use TUTTI, and the PLUS∞GREEN PROJECT plans to continue expanding initiatives that allow people to enjoy sustainability while dining.
