(Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Hiroyuki Ueki) will begin "joint delivery" for a portion of products shipped from the port (Port of Tokyo) to the Kanto area as part of their logistics reforms.
Logistical challenges are numerous, including driver shortages, the 2024 logistics problem, and CO2 emission reductions.
Traditionally, after products cleared customs at the port, each company used its own unique delivery routes. However, there are many common delivery destinations from the port. "Joint delivery," which can be achieved through the collaboration of the three companies across boundaries, will lead to the resolution of the following issues:
1. Alleviation of traffic congestion and resolution of driver shortages by reducing the number of trucks.
2. Reduction of the burden on receiving warehouses by reducing the number of deliveries.
3. Alleviation of traffic congestion and reduction of CO2 emissions.
Moving forward, by promoting "joint delivery" among the three companies, we will contribute to the "White Logistics" promotion movement and environmental considerations linked to SDGs.
