Stylem Takisada-Osaka Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Naniwa-ku, Osaka; President: Ryuta Taki; hereinafter "Stylem") invested in Giolica s.r.l. (hereinafter "Giolica"), a textile manufacturer in Prato, Tuscany, Italy, on May 10, 2022, and is proceeding with a strategic capital and business alliance.
Stylem is promoting a global strategy in its textile business. Within this strategy, Europe is recognized as an important market due to the presence of many globally influential apparel brands. Furthermore, Italy, among European countries, is an important country as a production base for high-value-added textiles. For this reason, in 2013, our company established a local subsidiary in Italy and has been challenging itself in the planning and production of textiles.
In addition to these efforts, by partnering with Giolica, a textile manufacturer in the Prato region of Italy, we aim to further strengthen textile planning and production in Italy and advance our global strategy. We therefore executed an investment in Giolica on May 10, 2022. We will dispatch executives to each other's companies between Giolica and our group and proceed with a strategic capital and business alliance to generate synergies within the group.
